The Floral Pavilion buzzed with excitement and pride as families, friends, and community members gathered for The 2025 ZILLO Youth Awards on Wednesday, (March 19). Recognising and celebrating the efforts of young people across the Wirral and serving as a testament to their positive and inspiring impact on their communities.
The event not only celebrated the award recipients but also shone a spotlight on all nominees. Emphasising the importance of acknowledging the everyday contributions of young people in making their communities better places.
Among the standout moments of the evening came when Hive members, Jake , Rosie and Charlotte (pictured here with their awards), were all recognised and celebrated for the outstanding achievements. Jake was nominated for the Above and Beyond Award which recognises exceptional leadership and selflessness. Rosie was nominated for the Creative Spark Award which awards outstanding talent in the arts. And Charlotte received nominations for and won awards for both the Community Star Award, supporting and uplifting the community and the audience choice. And Young Person of the Year Award, for outstanding community work, including tackling period poverty, supporting assisted living initiatives, and leading projects to bring different generations together. To be shortlisted from a group of 130 young people is no mean feat, and The Hive is incredibly proud of all of our young people who were nominated!
A Zillo Youth spokesperson said: “The Zillo Youth Awards are about celebrating every young person in the room. Each of them is a winner, and their dedication, passion, and drive to make a difference in the world is what inspires us. These awards are a way to say thank you and to remind them how important and valued they are.”
