Wirral’s purpose-built youth facility, The Hive, is opening its doors to families in need this Christmas Day thanks to generous sponsorship from drainage clearance and repair specialists, Metro Rod Wirral.
Metro Rod are sponsoring The Hive’s Christmas Day session, enabling the youth zone to put on a full Christmas dinner and a wide range of activities, completely free of charge for local young people and their families.
Fifteen members of The Hive staff are giving up their time on Christmas Day to help serve up the festive feast and run a programme of activities that will include climbing, team sports, dance, drama and arts and craft. The intention behind the session is to give families who are struggling this Christmas, a reason to celebrate.
Stuart Barnes, CEO of The Hive who will be helping to serve Christmas dinner to guests on the 25th December said, “This vital support from Metro Rod will make all the difference to the level of offer that we are able to provide for the young people who come to us with their families this Christmas Day. This special day can be particularly difficult for young people and families in need, and with Metro Rod’s help, we can offer festive cheer where it is needed most.”
