There was a lot of ‘give and go’ at The Hive on Friday (7 March) as Brabners hosted an inter-office netball tournament as part of their Hive Heroes fundraising campaign.
We launched Hive Heroes last year, offering a fresh and unique corporate challenge where a team of colleagues are tasked with turning seed money of £500 into a £5,000 profit, with all proceeds supporting our crucial work here at The Hive. A brilliant hybrid of Dragons Den and The Apprentice, providing teams with a collective ambition of raising vital funds but at the same time, providing businesses a vehicle for a unique engagement and professional development opportunity. We also have a team of our young people taking part who have all sorts of fun and frolics planned for 2025.
We were joined by colleagues from DSG, Hill Dickinson, Rathbones, and Grant Thornton, all of whom took to the court at The Hive’s sports hall. The teams showcased their skills, bounce passing their way across the court and shooting for glory with plenty of determination.
With the spirit of friendly competition and teamwork in full display, the event was ultimately won by the team from Hill Dickinson beating Rathbones in a closely fought final match. In the end, it was a fantastic, fun day all in support of The Hive’s ongoing mission to make a difference.
