On Sunday 17th November, young people from across the network will be travelling to London’s spectacular Royal Albert Hall to attend the inaugural Onside Awards. Staff and young people have been busy nominating their peers for different categories including sports, arts and health & wellbeing. We have our fingers crossed for all nominees from the Hive!
We are also delighted to confirm that following a competitive audition process, which started back in June and included young people from across the OnSide Youth Zone network, our senior vocal group, Edge of Seventeen, and rapper Archie will be performing at the ceremony! Both acts received glowing reviews from the judges and are incredibly excited to have this once-in-a-lifetime performance opportunity. They are now hard at work, rehearsing and practicing ready to give it the world-famous stage of the Royal Albert Hall.

This is an incredible opportunity for our members, they worked so hard for their first auditions and when we told them the news that they had been successful they couldn’t believe it! Now the next few weeks are all about practicing and rehearsal so that they are 100% ready for their performances in November.’
